When adventuring in Bisbee , which is a beautiful old mining town near the Mexican border, my girlfriends and I happened upon the very intriguing photographer Nicholas Devore III .

He lived in a house stuck on a hill like a bird’s nest, filled with the strangest objects like a huge art installation. He was on the edge of sanity when we met him and shortly after killed himself. The house he lived in stands empty and holds many ghosts just like the rest of Bisbee.

This painting is about living on the edge of sanity, that fine line that many creative people walk.
